Cari grew up in a world of turmoil and violence. It was her normal. Her mother married five men and moved her twenty-six times before sixth grade. Even during her painful childhood, Cari felt a heavy ‘pulling’ toward something. She felt nudges and made moves that even surprised her, but she never questioned them. They were intense feelings that left no doubt. When she felt a strong notion to do something, she always did it.
As you will see from this book, these nudges changed, and saved her life. Many times.
After being a card-carrying victim for over thirty years, Cari found the way to exit depression and suicidal thoughts. She took leaps of faith. Every time she did, it brought her to something she could not have imagined. When you experience the beauty on the other end of a leap, you want more of it.
Cari has been chasing after something her entire life. She couldn’t comprehend how other people seemed to be so chill in “normal.” All of her neighbors were happy, yet she was so unsettled. She couldn’t sit still. How can they not be going crazy? She was always in search mode.
For three decades she was a victim, now for the next few decades, she was confident, but she wasn’t being true to herself. She realized she was saying yes to things she wanted to say no to. That was when everything shifted.
A few years ago, it hit Cari that she was no longer searching. That hot dog on the end of a hanger in front of her face has been caught. She didn’t even realize it, nor did she know when it happened. It just did. She found a path, and said, “take me.” And now she lives from this space.
